okay, here it is. i got a 1998 Mustang GT. Bone Freakin' Stock.

Problem, Automatic.

does anyone know the rearend gearing for it? can i swap rearends? i mean i'd hate to run 15's still (never ran but im guessing it's only a 15 second car)

also, how hard would it be to gut the cats? or any free mods for right now to make it louder but still look 'stock' under the car.

i'd like to keep the automatic, but anything to gradually get me into the 13's or so N/A

thanks

i think 3.08's, i dont totally remember off the top of my head, you dont need to swap the rear-end, all you really need is a new set of gears for now..

to gut the cats, is a pain in the ass, but what I would do is cut the cat off the pipe, and replace it with some exhaust tubing, cut the cat in half, clear it out, and wrap it around the pipe..if you just gut it, its going to sound horrible

as for totally free mods, you can start removing some excess weight from the trunk, your back seat, etc.. but when you get some money, start doing bolt ons and engine mods.. you may want to consider a TQ converter, if you want to stay n/a, get 4.30's for a good set of gears, also some drag radials, a shift kit, tranny cooler would help too

With a Torque converter it'll be a good idea to get a trans cooler as well.
The PI heads and Cams will totally wake up your car and still look stock under the hood
