Some specs that PoppyMod asked about, obtained from Ford Racing:
> Comp ratio-Advertised-9.25 Actual-9.55
>GT40 "P" heads with 59cc chamber, when taking into account head gasket, deck height and reliefs total 73 cc
>Intake Valve-1.84
>Exhaust Valve-1.46
>Hypereutectic flat top, with 4 small valve relief pistons
>B303 cam - Ford Racing Performance Parts
>Edelbrock Performer RPM intake
>Tri-Y headers/2 1/2" exhaust
>Mallory magnetic breakerless distributor/MSD 6AL box
>Timing-15 BTDC initial/25 BTDC @ 1500 rpm/39 BTDC all in @ 2900 rpm/vacuum advance, from ported vacuum, adds 8 degrees, no pinging or detonation
>2 carbs have been tried,
>>>>Autolite 4100/1.12/tried a 7.5 power valve/3.5 power valve/power valve plug with not much noticeable difference
>>>>Holley 1850-5/4160 much nicer driveability and fuel mileage than the 4100, still rich at idle
No way to check AFR, checked/set carb with vacuum gauge. Intention is a fun to drive highway cruiser that still has some a$$ light to light.
Thanks,
Gene

Get the vac secondary spring kit(and quick change top) I try some different springs in there. Again, each car is different.
So no DP,600 cfm with one metering block in the front. Much better than a DP for your set up. The power valve "open" will provide an additional 10% MORE fuel. The clue here is that it didn't make any difference. Could be rich...
What altitude do you live @? Its jetted for seal level.
