well my 84 mustang has the what im told the german 4 speed. All i know is it is a 4 speed with reverse next to 1st. Are they any good. Im sticking with the 4 cyl but i am beefing it up some but nothing major keeping it N/A for now.
they work fine - but you dont have the overdrive with it as 4th is 1:1.
If you can find a later fox body 2.3 with a 5 speed for a decent price upgrading to get the overdrive might be nice if you do any highway driving.
not sure if the slip yoke is the same for the 4 speed vs the T-5 (5 speed) but if you find the a donor - check it out and you might need the driveshaft...or atleast the slip yoke.
