Gettin these tips on

ok.. u all helped me get these nice lookin tips, http://www.performancepeddler.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=MAG35115 , now i need some suggestions on gettin these tips on the ride. they dont come with hangers welded on or clamps or anything..just the two tips 22" long. i measured the mac tips from the end to where the weld is on the 2.5" piping and it was approx. 21", so i got the 22" tips. should i bring it to a shop and have them do it for however much, or cut the old tips off right at the weld and somehow hang and clamp these new ones on. i got a friend that works for gm who can weld pretty good and was thinkin we could weld new hangers on the top on the tips like they come when u buy a magnaflow system, and them bolt them up. i dont know, im just open to sugestions and u guys who done this before, although i dont think many have with a mac catback, u still know how.

Go to a pro muffler shop with a good rep. I just had some 18" long 3.5
chrome slash cut tips welded on for $55 total cost. Yeah the stainless
will last longer, but it never rains here in Tx anyway. They let me position
the tips to my liking before the final weld, came out flawless.

SummitRacing has similar ones for like $24 each. I took a pair of them to a muffler shop. They cut the hanger off the stock pieces and welded them onto the aftermarket tips. They cut off the stock tips and welded on the aftermarket ones. All for $35. One of the easiest mods I did.
