getting 3.73's...

I've decided to get 3.73s after considering 4.10s for a while. I about 45 miles on the highway everyday and I wouldnt like the high rpms. How is the traction in first with 3.73s? I have some nitto nt555 tires, but all suspension parts are stock. I want to be able to have traction in first when the weather and roads are good, what suspension parts should I get to do this? I definitely dont want to empty my bank doing this, I just want maybe some control arms or something like that. Any ideas?

Traction is worst. Going sideways in first and then sideways going into second. Getting upper and lower control arms and stiffer shocks will help. Frame connector will help also. Have all on my car. Better handling too.

Traction isn't a problem if you don't drop the clutch. You can get a good start with some dr's and have no problems holding the road. I wish i would have went with the 4.10.... Just me though..

If you nail it in 1st your going sideways, just slowly roll on the power and you will be fine. If you plan on adding a SC then stay with the 3.73's. If your not then I most people recommend the 4.10's.

Everyone knows traction is going to be worse with steeper gears
you should use the search because there is probaly 100000 gear
theards.

I have 3.73'S in a 98GT with a blower and an automatic. They are perfect. I am turning 5800 - 5900rpm's thru the traps which I think is about perfect. Plus I can already spin them all the way thru 1st gear on drip road as it is. In my case 4.10's would not help. If I were not supercharged, I would consider the 4.10's strongly though.
