So a buddy got a TC for 100 bux and needs the doors and rear end. So i offered to do the work in exchange for the motor, tranny and any wiring i need. So what all do I need. I plan on putting this all in my 91 LX coupe. The TC is a 1988 5 spd, has bad timing belt and a new turbo. i planned on changing the belt and driving it home. I want to make this swap as easy as possible so please if there is anything i need to rip out let me know.

thanks

Don't rebuild it unless it's got a serious problem or has over 170k miles...

This troubles me. The 88 TC motor I bought supposidly has 80k miles on it, but I don't trust the guy I bought it from. RPM Machine has a rebuild kit with top of the line equipment for 475, forged rods/pistons, clevite 77 bearings, melling oil pump, etc... So I will be rebuilding mine. EVen if it was running fine at 80k, I don't like knowing my motor already has 10 years wear on it.

Make sure they aren't forged flat top pistons like most of the "kits".
