after reading through some old posts about the topic during some searching. i just started getting confused.

first i have the SCT big air 2600 MAF

next i have the paxton novi 2000 and air to air intercooler.

i am getting confused between the draw through and blow through setups. i read that the air to air intercooler will change things.

can you guys clear this up for me? what am i going to be running with the intercooler, blow or draw?

did i get the wrong MAF??? i was told the SCT were the best so i got it just wondering if it is right for my set up now...thanks guys.

Draw through means the maf is BEFORE the blower, blow through the maf is after the blower, and after the intercooler. Draw through is easier for most tuners to deal with, but you have to deal with recirculating the blow off (called bypass then) which can sometimes cause issues. With a blow through setup you can run an atmospheric blowoff, get that nice pssh sound rofl :rlaugh:

Go blow through. IC wont effect it. Make sure the MAF is in a straight section of pipe with no bends or any flow restrictions/changes within 6-8 inches of either side. Put the BOV atleast 8 inches before the MAF.

thanks guys. i dont know what type the SCT meters are it dont really say. but i will have to work with it. im sure it will be ok. more concerned wit the diablo tune and chip vs. the cst maf.

i made another thread and one guy said it would be fine. i also called my tuner about it but i wont hear back form him till next week probably.

the blow thru MAF is harder to tune but i LOVE the BOV!!!!

it attracts a lot of attention. i had about 10 people from my hotel at mustang week ask me what turbo i was running.

i do have terrible idle issues though

never had a problem tuning with my blow thru ProM ATI tube meter on my stock motor calibrated for 42's.. (currently for sale for a great price if someone needs one). it was bolted in the spot in the piping procharger recommends in the fenderwell for more than 2 years. my car idled like a stock car with it.

we now have a PMAS cyclone tube in it cal'ed for 75's and its not to bad either..final tune is not complete yet though.

I like the tube meters better in blow thru applications over the flanged meters. ease of install inline without adaptor plates and the fact that they have been super reliable for me are bonuses.
