Getting heads for my car, suggestions which ones?

I want to make my car fast. And i have the intake, and im looking to get a cam, and a nice set of heads. This car will be a street driven car with those weekend trips to the dragstrip. So the car will also have to make emissions. I want to get the most power i can. What heads do you reccomend? I have heard that victor Jrs are the best but what do you guys think. The car is still speed density but i will be converting it to mass air sometime in the future.

Stock shortblock 302 or a 331 like it says for your screen name? Victor jr's should work awesome on a stroker, but I dont think they have egr ports since you want emissions. If its a stock shortblock car, I recommend trickflow TW heads or the new edelbrock performer heads.

If you want useable power on the street and not just a high rpm only screamer then go with AFR 165's for an N/A application.

cant go wrong with trick flow twisted wedges and the street heat intake they have a nice package you can buy now with the cam valve covers and intake for 2100 from summit

Keep with emmisions legal parts, such as a conservative cam with 114LSA, many good grinds that are emmisions legal, emmisions legal AFR 165, RPM intake, and keep all your smog stuff in place.

TFS all the way, I had to worry about emissions and mine are sick in the street. They thump hard..No regrets

Get the emissions ready AFR 165's 58cc...I have them and love them...great quality...but my smog pump is deleted so I just plugged the holes in the back of the heads...

My vote is AFR's...Trickflow is just as good...

I was browsing through on of my mustang magazines when i cam across an add, New gt-40P heads with high performance valve train.... $689/Pair. Is this a good deal? It says they come complete with a high performance valvetrain? Would i be better off with some edelbrock performers? WQHat do you guys think??

The GT-40p heads are a small step up from the stock heads, alum heads would be a step higher as far as performance.

For a street set-up, you can not go wrong with AFR165, TFS TW, or Edelbrock Performer or Performer RPMS (depends on combo), or Holleys.

what are the prices on all of these heads? Where is a website that i can find info on the AFR165

The AFR's are around $1300, Trickflow-$1200, Edelbrock-$1100...

These are pretty close base prices for these heads without getting to specifice...but you will want some nice springs on there if your going to run a nice cam...
