Worth while things are not always easy things. This is a hobby for most of us, if you arn't having fun with it walk away.

I know, I sold my black hatchback because I ruined the engine and the car had issues (ex 4 banger needing suspension and brake upgrades). I bought a real clean 5.0L Cougar (MN12 body with IRS). That Cougar had AC (digital HVAC - set the temp and leave it alone), real comfy seats, tilt steering, power everything... I put on dual exhaust with flowmasters, then a cobra intake. The thing would pull sideways on a roll once the kickdown engaged... fun big car but I MISSED having a little fox Mustang SO MUCH! Seeing a nice fox drive by made me want to get rid of the Cougar in a heartbeat and I did. Something about a fox Mustang that keeps you begging for more.

So wait, He CANT match the paint and REFUSES to work with a certain brand of bumper?

Why is your car there again? I mean, i know they are a reputable Mustang shop, but i wouldnt go buying more parts because they dont like the brand, and if they cant match the paint, why waste your time?

Noone would be able to match the paint exactly on the light silver. Not even the people who originally painted it. Its just a hard color to match, red is also a hard color. My friends supra had like 8 different shades of red on it. Its not like its a factory color and b/c it will be separated from the other silver body parts I don't think it would stand out much if at all.

Go to a junk yard or start calling around and get a salvaged quarter panel to have welded onto your car.

As for the car rental thing... perhaps YOUR insurance will pick up some of that. Nevre hurts to call them and ask.

aw man have i been through some chit to drive a stang. i can recall walking in the snow to school all winter, then riding my bike to work and after all that, coming home and trying to finish up a cursed motor swap all so i didn't have to drive a honda to school. well, 4 months and a few grand later, it still ran like ass lol, but here i am 6 foxes afterward STILL saying it was worth it. stick with it man, it'll pay off eventually

Take it to the closest sherwin williams automotive they will color eye it for free, the color will not be 100% dead on, but that is what blending is for. If you would like further info on the process of blending PM me I dont feel like typing that much tonite.

You need to find a better ody man then.. No offense you keep saying dugan racing like its supposed to impress us.. My father had a car back in the day with a custom paint clor and they were able to match it perfect and they werent even the people who mixed it.. A good paint place can match almot everycolor exactly including silver.. You have a nice car but your ready to give up over a couple of dents??? Maybe you dont deserve the car..

I put a new rear quarter on mine (small rust spot on lip). It was VERY hard to get over the fact I was cutting my car apart. Measure twice, cut once. I flanged the existing metal, laid the new piece in and shazam, everything lined up great. It obviously needed some filler/block sanding since it was welded on , but you literally can not tell it was ever replaced. Go out on a limb and DIY. The proffessionals are there to fix your mistakes if need be. Bottom line, do as much work on your car yourself as you can to save all the money you can. As far as paint. A quality shop can finish your body work, laser match a paint reaaaalll f'n close, and use blender to hide the paint lines. Only you will be able to pick out the imperfections. TRUST ME

dam body work must do it to you my cars body isnt bad but tis all twisted and stuff iv thought about selling my car a few times especially when i was building it DONT DO IT!!!!! hha read that thread about not selling your FOX and youll feel better hah seriously its awesoem

My buddy's GT has a new quarter...you can't tell the difference not even where the welds were in the hatch. The guy who did it, did all the work in his back yard....it just takes effort and the desire to do it right, not to make a quick buck.

You know what I do when I get tired of my car, I put the cover over it.

I sold my 69 bronco years ago for 1500 and still regret it to this day.

What car would you drive to college? I certainly wouldn't park a nice fox in the lot, people are butt heads.
