getting the car painted

the 01 is finally in the shop getting the key scratch and dent in the rear taken care of.

Its going to need new fogs (already has new tails and headlamps) and I was thinking about the smoked ones that LMR sells, anyone else using them?

also need a cowl vent cover, anyone know where I might get a good price on a oem one?

If you ever considered debadging your car, this is the time to do it. As far as the cowl part I would say either LMR or AM. I think AM has a 2 piece one but I would just go with the 1 piece instead of seeing the 2 parts. What color are you going to go with? The smoked fogs would look good if you have smoked headlights imo.

Its going back silver with black boss style stripes on the side and the spring special stripe up the hood. Thought about doing the stripes in flat with the wing in flat black but decided against it. Havent given any thought to debadging it, but thats a good idea.

Rear quarter, in the body line at the point where the decklid and rear quarter meet just above the tail light. I have a pic somewhere. there were a few other small dents and some issues with the drivers door cracking above the top hinge.

When will it be completed?

Not sure, I know the guy and he's working it in when he's not doing ins. jobs. we settled on a price, I told him just sometime before April, we're not in a hurry. He had the top in paint and most of the jambs last week, im guessing probably another week, maybe two.

Also should mention if you ever wanted to fill in the spoiler holes, now is the time for that too.

I thought about deleting the spoiler but she likes it, then i thought about moving it back about an inch or so but other things got on my mind and forgot to mention it.

I need to get my car resprayed (added a Cobra R hood and Roush bumper) and a dent in the rear quarter taken out, plus my rear bumper is starting to bubble a bit. How much is this setting you back, if you don't mind me asking.?

We set a price on the body and paint work but with the misc. crap that goes with it (new trim and badges, fog lights, ect) im not sure what were going to end up at. If I had to guess somewhere in the four and a half range.

Its the wifes car so the g-string would be fitting!

No she wanted to keep it like it was. I did keep the old Mach 1 emblem from the decklid and the ford emblem is around here somewhere. We decided that if its getting new paint it should get new emblems.

Looks good! Make sure to maintain it with a quality sealant and wax every 3 or so months. Clay polish and wax once a year. Where is this shop located? Here in NY they want like 8k for a paint job!
