getting tint, have a quick question

i am finally going to get my windows tinted. i am going with 20% all the way around. after searching this site it seems like i need to go with a black vynl strip on my rear window. now should i put this strip on the dot matrix on before or after i get my car tinted? i dont know if it even makes a difference, but i would like some input on this.

The guy who did my tint actually did a decent job on the matrix...i dont have any vinyl on it.

I would imagine if u went that way, they would put the vinyl on the matrix...then put tint from the bottom of that to the bottom of the window. Or i suppose jjust put the tint on top of the vinyl.

I didn't get the vynal either but what he actually did to mine was wetsand the matrix or whatever it is called and that helped quite a bit over teh previous tint job the car had.

ok thanks for the input. maybe i will go and see how it turns out with him just preping and tinting the matrix

I really like the idea of sanding down the dots a bit to reduce that shoulder...
