I know the Patriots are 15-0 and the Giants SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!So bite me.

Look at the records of the teams the giants beat/lost to compared to all the teams the Patriots beat. When did the Giants play the likes of the Chargers, Cowboys, Indy and came away with a win? SO what the Patriots division sucks, the entire NFC sucks so thats the only reason the Giants are going to the post season. Put them in the AFC and they would be about as good as the Jets. Keep your trash talking, will be that much more humorous when the giants get blown out in the very near future, as in next week and round 1.

Whats with all the insults and name calling? Have to resort to that b/c your just blind and cant face the fact that your team sucks and its to hard to admit it, or is your intelligence really that low?

and how many times this year did the pats just squeak out a win against a crappy team?

The level of players in the NFL today is so high that any team can win on any day...

I do apologize for the "name calling".
I did not want to personally insult you, just wanted to offer up an accurate description of your football posting knowledge.

I have to be more careful to separate a poster's lack of knowledge from a person themself.

I think it's pretty clear that redline does not like eli manning.. it does not matter what team he supports what he said about who the giants beat this year is right.. They have not won a game against a winning team..

Now about Eli..

I don't want to start a fight with the giants fans but I am going to call it as I see it.

I am not sold on this guy... I do not see him ever getting to the level of his brother not even close in fact, In fact I think he is David Carr or Joey Harrington with a brother who is a all time great.. The giants would be better off in the short term bringing Warner back.

I could be wrong but I think the Giants got a bust in eli...

He is allowed to have whatever opinions he wants, but all he does is either

1- post how good the patriots are

or

2 - posts on how bad every other team is and how they arent the patriots.

He does it specifically to get people pissed off, plain and simple.

I persoanally couldnt care less what he thinks, but it just gets ridiculous. There is not one other poster on this section that instigates stuff as much as him. I am certainly not an angel when it comes to posting about the Patriots cheating but I dont post how good the Colts are for no reason, I dont post how bad certain teams are for no reason. Its ok to have an opinion and to express that opinion but you are allowed to do so with class.

Let me take a minute and address this "Eli" issue. It's pretty strange how people always like to poke at Eli while virtually no one is tooting a horn in support of him.

I'm a member of a very large Giants board and Eli's play has been discussed to nauseum for years now.

Some of you may be aware that Eli came to the Giants for 1 reason: Ernie Accorsi the former Giants GM was in love with young Eli and wanted to leave a legacy for himself. He basically sold the farm to get him. The cost of Eli was very high.

In Accorsi's defense, almost every draft scout and web site dealing with the 2004 draft had Eli Manning rated as the #1 pick that year. I got to see a few of Eli's college games and he did play very well.

The majority of Giant fans did NOT want the Giants to trade picks to move from #4 to #1` and grab the younger Manning. Most wanted Big Ben, as did I. My vision was to retain Collins for a year or 2 while Big Ben was learning. In addition, the Giants could easily parlayed the #4 pick into several picks by trading down 1-2 times and still getting Big Ben.

Due to the high cost of what many of us Giants fans call "Accorsi's blunder", we are basically stuck with Eli for the forseeable future.

Eli has a few good points. HE has been able to remain fairly injury free. That's very important to the G-men b/c there is no backup QB worth 2 squirts of goat piss. Eli has had several good games where he has lead the team in a come from behind victory. He has on a few occasions looked like a great QB. However, he is very inconsistant.

It may be time for a good house cleaning coaching wise to see if there is a coach who will put Eli into a situation where the offense is RUN first, like Big Ben injoys. The Coughlin crew threw the young Eli into a downfield passing offense when he is expected to be as good as his brother or Brady, without the experience. Obviously, this is not going to happen.

In summary, Eli is a very average QB who is very inconsistant. With better WR's or ones who are not gimpy or over the hill, he may do better. Also, with the Giants leading the league in dropped passes, it may pay to invest in Crazy Glue. You will be hard pressed to find Giant fans that say that Eli is a very good QB. So when a poster begins to point out flaws in Eli or the fact that they did not do well in the big trade of 2004, you are preaching to the choir.

If you think he posts for those reasons then when the pats loose.. If it's this year or next year you will then be able to rub it in to him..

1. You were totally WRONG about the Giants not beating a team with a winning record.
2. Your claim the Giants STINK/Suck proves again your football knowledge is poor.

As stated in the post above yours, a team that finishes 8-8 has done OK. A team that finishes with a better record than that has done well. Sure, the Giants have their troubles, hell 31 teams in the NFL have some problems.

And again, the Giants strength of schedule was tougher by a good margin than your Pats this year.

It depends on your definition of a winning record.. as of right now only one of the giants wins were against teams with a winning record..

Plus that strenth of schedule thing is thrown off by the two horrible teams in the pats division and the flawed method of using record at the time of the game as a indicator of a quality team..

for example that in that system if you played baltimore when they were 4-2 on week six then you would get credit for beating a really good team.. but that team sucks it's not a quality win..

Only way to judge teams is overall at the end of the year.

The pats beat

Steelers

Colts

Chargers

Cowboys

Browns ( I don't think they are very good but they might be a afc playoff team and they are well above .500)

redskins ( same as the browns not really that good but they are above .500)

Plus they destroyed the only team the giants beat with a current winning record.. ( redskins) 52-7

The giants are a decent team nothing against them but they did not take out two undefeated teams... None of the giants wins came against teams that rank anywhere near the four I listed above.

Sure the pats beat the Jets and the dolphins twice but the rest of the games were against

Buffalo twice.. ( not a bad team near .500 in the AFC)

Philly ( another near .500 team that is not bad)

Baltimore ( well ok they stink)

they do suck, you will see just how much when they get blown out by Tampa Bay. They only got in b/c they are in the NFC. So Im wrong about them not beating any teams with a winning record? So they beat 1 that did so now they are the best team in history ok sure.

1 &2 - But its the truth.

As far ast the rest of your post....WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA go cry some more.

Did it ever accour to you that I say stuff to get people going just b/c I know its going to. Do you realize how much I laugh on a reg basis when I come on here and see you crying about my posts like a little 2 year old. If it didnt get you and others like you riled up so much I wouldnt do it in the first place but it does work so therefore I do it.

< Nope. Both the hated Eagles and Cows gave the Pats a hella scare.>

It depends on your definition of a winning record.. as of right now only one of the giants wins were against teams with a winning record..

Plus that strenth of schedule thing is thrown off by the two horrible teams in the pats division and the flawed method of using record at the time of the game as a indicator of a quality team.. < The method isn't flawed. If you have 2 horrible teams to play, then the strength of your opponent is weak. Thus, "strength of schedule">

for example that in that system if you played baltimore when they were 4-2 on week six then you would get credit for beating a really good team.. but that team sucks it's not a quality win..

Only way to judge teams is overall at the end of the year. < I disagree and it has nothing to do with the Giants or Pats. Teams get hot/cold during a season. Keys players may get injured. It far more difficult to beat a team that is "hot" and healthy at the time.>

<Here's a dramatic eample: Team A somehow beats the Pats for game 9 of the year. The Pats record becomes 8-1. Nest game, Brady gets hurt and is out for the rest of the season. Team B beats the Pats on week 17 and the Pats finish the year 8-8. Which teams victory is more impressive, team A or team B or both the same?>

< This year the Giants beat a hot Lions team and sent them into a tailspin. The Pats a few weeks ago beat a Ravens team that took the Pats to final seconds. After that, the Ravens have totally fallen apart. I'm just showing that it is more noteworthy to get a victory during a time of the year the opponent is at it's best, not worst. When you look at just the final record, you are considering how a team did comprehensivly over the course of the season.>

The Giants are no where near as good as the Patriots are this year. I'm just glad they have won 10 and are heading to the playoffs. I'm not really sure what point you are trying to make. Comparing the 2 teams is pretty silly.

I thought you and a few others were trying to cut down on what the patriots have done so far this season with the schedule stuff... All I was trying to do is point out what the pats have done this year.. Sure two of the teams in the afc east is awful but the pats beat most of the top 5 teams in the nfl this year.. The others they have not played.

No. I've been an NFL fan since I was a kid and have really been watching closely since about 1993. This years Pats are the best overall team I've seen so far. Some others are close, but I'd have to give the nod to the Pats. I don't think the strength of schedule is what was responsible for the 15-1 record.

GOOD NEWS: The NFL was threatened by some Senate members to have the anti-trust exemption reviewed unless they did something about making this week's game more available. They cracked and now the game will not only be on the NFL Network but CBS and NBC! This means I get to sit home, relax and see the game in hi-def!

ALSO: I now live in Orlando. The G-men will play the Bucs in Tampa in 2 weeks for the w/c game. I am going to try to see if I can score a ticket for a reasonable price and drive down there. I think that would be awesome to see a Giants playoff game. Have you ever been lucky enough to see a Pats playoff game?

15-1 I hear the giants are going to rest a bunch of players.. One thing is for sure, I rather them go 15-1 then 16-1

I hope you get to go to the game.. I have not been lucky enough to go to a playoff game in person.. The prices for pats tickets even regular season tickets are crazy.. No way I could get that one by th wife..

Indy and Baltimore both had them beat but let it go. But that doesnt matter really a win is a win, no one can take away they are a great team but they are not unbeatable.

my response was to the quote that the Pats "domainated" everyone...maybe the first half of the season they did, but definitely NOT the second half comming down the stretch.

I said they domintaed MOST not all.. Out of the four real contenders they played

steelers = dominated

cowboys = dominated

chargers = owned

only the colts gave a game and in the last 10 minutes the pats did what they wanted. They stoped the colts dead in their tracks when all they needed was a few first downs and scored at will

So those were the real teams they played..

I think with the philly and baltimore games they got a little cocky.. Plus they let both philly and baltimore hold the pats receivers like crazy.. Thats something I really don't bitch about much because other teams have had that happen to them in the past... UHH like the colts.

I really dont want to argue this in this thread, but the Colts were a dropped bomb from Reggie Wayne from winning that game. It was in his hands and would have sealed it, I dont really say they stopped them in their tracks but in any event a win is a win.
