This is where the paths split. Eli/Brady are both QB's of teams that are expected to do a lot. At a time in the game both QB's had their team down by 2 scores and had to drive the offense into scoring positions. Brady was down 16-28 and was able to engineer 2 scoring drives to put them in the lead. Eli was playing well while they had the lead so the pressure was off. When placed in the situation of having to bring his team back in a game that meant nothing, but counted for everything he did what we often see coming from Eli

As Ive seen many many times before Eli over threw his receiver and right into the hands of Hobbs. Eli's accuracy is not that great, Im not saying Brady completed every pass but he played a hell of a lot better then Eli as expected considering Eli is no Tom Brady to begin with. Eli has a perpetual problem with throwing the ball high, it happens every single week in and week out and it always comes at times when they need to move the ball, it does not always lead to an INT as in this case but at other times costs them 1st downs and even TD's. Pressure situation and Eli Manning is a perfect combination for a choke.

Even though they did not get the ball back after the onside kick the previous drive was horrid. Yes they scored a TD but they took so much time off the clock doing it wich took away any chance of stopping the Patriots with a 3 and out since they had TD's left to stop the clock. Like Ive said time and time again Eli cannot lead the team, time was of the essence and he was wasting it all at the line I dont know what the hell he was doing but that was one of the worse clock management cases Ive ever seen. If they left more time on the clock and were able to stop the Patriots from driving they would have had to punt and the Giants would have had a chance to score again. But we all saw what did happen which even drives home even more my points about Eli

I'll tell you one thing...that game was 100x more exciting than the Dallas/Pats game and even the Colts/Pats game.

It sure was a great & exciting game last night!

I agree. At least some idiots will not have a chance to slap an asterick on the Pats record if the Giants rested their starters.

The NFL awarded Tom Brady a passer rating of 116.8 for last night's performance. Eli Manning had a very good game against a good team and topped Brady with a 118.6 rating.

I hope this is the start of something good for Eli. If the Giants run the ball more often like they did in Buffalo, they may win a game or 2 in the playoffs.

Amazing play by Boss who took over for the broken leg Shockey. Reese may have a hard decision to make in a year or 2.

Congrats to the Pats, Brady and Moss. I'm tired of hearing about hte 72 Dolphins. It will be a nice change for the next 30 years maybe.

Anybody think Boston teams will take the hat trick this year? The Celtics are looking damn good.......

I agree with you on some things.. Others i dunno.. Brady had plenty of time to engineer those 2 scoring drives. Hell one drive happend because eli threw an INT. If i think eli had more then 4 mins on the clock, and had some time, (yes i know 4 mins is alot of time and no accuse) he could have pulled it out. He should have managed the clock better in that final drive and they would have had a chance. In the end, eli finished that game with a better passer rating then brady so im happy about at least that haha

I agree. However, Pats fans and real football fans alike are saying that their season is a waste if they don't win the Superbowl.

I disagree. Sure, it would blow if they got knocked off in the playoffs and diminish their overall 2007 season but 16-0 regular season should be remembered as it HAS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE. If you think about it, 16-0 is sort of rediculous. Everyone has a bad game and so do the Pats. However, they still won games when they didn't play well.

I'm sure the Pats will have to win some real tough games to get to the Superbowl this year. IMO, the 2 best overall are the Pats and the hated Cows.

I think it would most definatly waste their season. 16-0 is the same as 0-16 or 8-8 if you dont win it, There is only 1 SB champ and 31 losers. For the losers all your record means is your place in the draft.

2007 Best Division in the NFL?
--------------------------------------

Looks like 2 NFL divisions were neck & neck for best in the league. However, all things considered, I give the award to the AFC South.

The NFC East and AFC South both had 3 teams that made the playoffs. Neither of these divisions contain a team with a losing record. The tie-breaker is the number of total wins per division and the AFC South wins out over the NFC East 42-40.

Next, we'll examine the worst division in the NFL.

2007 Worst Division in the NFL?
----------------------------------------

3 divisions in the NFL really sucked this year. The AFC East, the AFC West and the NFC's South divisions all produced 3 loser teams.

The best way to discover just how lousy a division is, just total up all the losses. Pretty simple. This year's award for worst division goes to the AFC also. The AFC's West managed to rack up 38 total losses!

If you really feel that way, why bother watching? If you have a 1 in 32 chance of being a winner? Here's how I see it.
Win more games than you lose = successful season
Wins = loses = mediocre year
Lose more than win = a season you want to forget

Winning a division or conference title is excellent.
Just making the playoffs is a good accomplishment. Odds are only 3 in 8 to make a playoff appearance.

Some teams like the Eagles & Vikings have never won a Superbowl and probably never will. Should their fans just give up?

Honestly its really not even close.

Indy vs NFC Teams - 4 - 0
Jacksonville vs NFC Teams - 3 - 1
Tennesee vs NFC Teams - 3 - 1
Houston vs NFC Teams - 3 - 1

Dallas vs AFC Teams - 3 - 1
NY Giants vs AFC Teams - 3 - 1
Washington vs AFC Teams - 2 - 2
Philadelphia vs AFC Teams - 1 - 3

AFC South - 3 10+ win teams, NFC East 2 10+ win teams

Keep in mind the teams from the NFC East played their 4 games against the AFC East which even with New England included is the worst divison in football.

While that does apply to most teams, its not the same for a team who is undefeated. If they go 16-0 and then lose in the playoffs it would ruin thier pursuit of perfection. This isnt an ordinary season. Id agree if they were 14-2, 13-3, or even 15-1 but this is 16-0, this is history.

Anyone care to go on record with a prediction for Sunday's game? I think Coughlin and Gilbride will learn from their mistakes and have the proper game plan. No disrespect to the Bucs but I think the Giants can well hang 31 on them and give about 17. I'm thinking 31-17 Giants.
Eli with 3 TD passes.

I think Burress will have a tough time with Barber and the Giants lose the long ball...it's going to come down to Jacobs/Bradshaw/Droughns pounding the ball...

Also, Strahan & Umenyiora are lined up against 2nd year rookies so if they can get pressure on the QB and prevent them from passing it should be close.

I think it's really going to come down to a running game and who can run the best. If the Giants can prevent the Bucs defense from scoring (i.e. interceptions) it should be the Giants who win, however, if Manning starts throwing interceptions and the Bucs can capitalize it's all Tampa.

The Giants just need to play like they did last week...

Furthermore, Garcia is known for comming alive in the post season....

If Manning has maybe 1 int...then I say 35-21 Giants; and that's also if the recievers decided to catch the ball this week...lets also hope that Boss has another big game!!

Yeah, the correct way to play this game is to pound the ball right up the gut through Tampa's smallish defenders. They should be able to slow the Giants running attack a bit at first. But like chopping down a big tree, that chit is going to fall and fall hard. By the mid-third quarter, I'd be able to gain some decent yards.

I agree with a fan on another board that said it's going to be a very rough day for whatever poor bastid has to line up across from Chris Snee. Since the Giants gave the Pats all they could handle last week, this should be a win for them.

Pats cheap shot artist Vince Wilfork was fined $15K for trying to poke out Brandon Jacobs eye last week. Wilfork had a lot of trouble with Jacobs and his answer: cheap shot.

This is the 3rd time this year this cheap shot artist has been caught and fined for crap like this. If he was on any team other than the Pats or maybe Cows, he would certainly been given a suspension. What a POS.

puh-lease...they were jawing, finger pointing, whatever, the fine is 'cause his finger actually passed Jacobs mask. And the fine on the hit on Losman is laughable.
