Might work for an SVT (note, SVT, not Shelby) trim level of vehicle.

Mustangs, like it or not, are muscle cars and do best maintaining that image.

This car looks like every other Euro supercar which is not a bad thing but, just different, not "Mustang".

Some might say Mustang needs to go this route, " 'bout eff'n time!" but I bet they sell more to those looking for muscle car heritage styling versus this.

Winding Road said:
The 2005 Ford Mustang captured the hearts and minds of millions of fans and future owners when the all-new model debuted. But the proportions and design of Ford’s first purpose-built muscle car in 30-plus years caught the eyes and sparked the imaginations of a pair of the world’s leading coachbuilders in Italy as well. This will not be the 2010 Mustang concept everyone was rumoring.

So if this is not the 2010 concept what is it? Just the itailians saying it should look like this?

a couple things I noticed

> no trunk
> Windshield goes all the way to the back with no cross beam
> gullwing doors (or whatever you call them) ain't gonna happen on a US car
> Tail lights wrapping up over the backend? What, are we signalling ET to go home?
> Front end reminds me of the new Camero :nonono:

The styling's a little extreme (after all it is a never-to-be-produced fantasy car) and the interior is nauseating, but overall a nice looking package. I think the only thing we can really draw from this is that Ford is going to try really hard to incorporate a fastback roofline into the next stang.

I like hte hood style and the cars color scheme. Its pretty. The side styling thing doestn look to bad but I just dont like it on a mustang.. but btw the windshield that goes all the way back is really gay.
