Well, the dreams of supercharging the cobra are pretty much gone. My insurance company called me today (Nationwide) and said if I put the charger on, they would not insure me. They are contacting another underwriter to see if they will insure me, but I'm sure the price of insurance will be too high. I don't want to switch companies either because of how great they have treated me and the discounts I get.

So, I want to spend around 3K to 3500 on the car for right now, and it is bone stock. I don't think I want to get into head work, because its not enough of a gain for the money. Maybe a little intake work, but I'm clueless when it comes to modifying this car. Give me some ideas on every aspect of the car from engine mods, exhaust, suspension, etc. I would like to upgrade a little bit of everything if possible.

Did you ask them about Nitrous.....?

Gears (4.30's for a Cobra), full exhaust (LT's, mid-pipe, cat-back, cams, suspension (SFC's, shocks, struts, springs, UCA's, LCA's), etc. There's ALOT you can buy with that money to make her haul ass......

Dude why the hell would you tell them your going to put a blower on. I'm sure you would like the blower to be under the insurance but its not going to happen. Put it on and call it a day.

I know it sounds stupid, but with that much of an investment on my pay, I don't know if I want to take a chance on them saying "nope, we can't pay you". I just bought the car so I have a lot of payments to make. I'm pretty sure they meant they would not insure the car if I bolted it on. I've had nitrous before and although it was great, it was too much of a hassle for me to mess with again.
