I had the subframes that were on my car when I bought it cut out to have these installed. It cost a good bit of money, but it was worth it.

Yes, they do weld into the torque box.

Does this strengthen the torque boxes at all? Just wondering if it would be easier to install some torque box re-inforcements before having these installed.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner guys.

The ones I got were the full ladder brace. They cost about 800 bucks for the frames and installation. I'm not really sure what the subframes cost by themselves... I'll have to check my invoice when I get home.

As for the ride... it has COMPLETELY eliminated the creaks and shakes from the car. I have an '06 GT and before the subframes it was strange going to my old car because the poor thing sounded like it was going to fall apart when I went over a bump or railroad track or anything.

Now it totally rides like a new car. I mean not only does it handle MUCH MUCH better... but there are no creaks... no squeaks... no rattles... I am in heaven.

I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. And if you are around Torrance you absolutely can't go wrong with Joe from Chicane!

Sorry I didn't answer all the questions... I was going to go with the Maximum Motorsports ones.

I actually wanted the Kenny Bell super subs but they don't make them.

Joe showed me a set of supersubs that he had just taken off another fox. He stood on one end of the subframe connector and had me put my foot on the other end.

There was flex in the subframe connector. From what he said, and I'm no expert but he is, if there is flex in the connector then it won't do as good a job as one the does not flex. It won't be as rigid and won't give you as good a result.

I could have gone with the Maximum Motorsports as well... but in the end I took his recommendation because he's never steered me wrong... and he didn't this time either.

I don't have any measurements or diagrams, but I could take some measurements this week. Basically, they stretch from the front of the torque box (as seen in the picture) to the front of the frame rail. The plate in the upper right corner of the picture is a separate piece not included by Global West that the installer welded in for added strength. The subframe connector actually stretches all the way to the front of the framerail.

So I just got some Global West subframe connectors put on my 91 Fox and I have to say that it's like driving a new car!!

Joe, Ronny and the crew at Chicane Sport Tuning in Torrance hooked me up. I was actually a little hesitant just because of the cost of the subframes but I have absolutely no regrets wish I would have done it ten years ago!

Just figured I'd share
