My friend has a 97 convertable and the rear window is coming loose. is there a special type of glue that we can use to seal it, or do we have to take it to a window shop? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

you can try getting some gorrilla glue from Home Depot...its good on cloth, glass etc. Maybe run a bead of silicone inside before you glue it to try and seal it from water. Its worth a shot. When mine was bad most Pro's I talked to basically told me to replace the whole section cause it won't stay sealed...

are you saying I should just try glueing just that one section or take out the whole window and re-glue it?

Best to just replace the rear window. Expect to pay about $350-450.
