Oh yea the methanol systems is pretty sweet. You'll need it when you join us for the next on-track event. :D

Ha ha. Yeah, I'm only laying down 379 wheel on 92 octane in my 3200 pound car. But I have a lot of AWD drivetrain to move.

Jessie, that sucks about the whole ordeal! Hopefully the LS2 will treat you better.

Ben, which kit did you end up going with for the methanol? I've been contemplating selling the nitrous kit and doing methanol. I've heard good things about the SNOW kit, but not much word on the others.
Later,
Jon

Im pretty sure the LS2 will work out good. I just hope the rest of the car works, never had any issues with the LS1. Only problem was that the rest of the car didnt want to work with it.

You guys know anything about tuning LSX engines. Theres not much available at this point for the LS2 but Im sure a LS2EDIT will be out soon. That along with the header installation will need to be done.

Jordan, somebody told me you were off killing people in the sand. :flag:

What is your status these days.

LOL That's funny. No, I go for my two weeks of annual training in Idaho next month but Afghanistan is over a year away.

Now back to cars, you need to bring your car out to PIR so I have something competitive to run with. They either line me up against the hot rods or some slow import... :nonono:

I know just about everything now :(

Don't touch LS2 Edit. Wait for the HPTuners that works on the 05 GTO (nice car BTW, some folks at work have some of the 04s and 05s)

The combo you mentioned will easily top 400 rwhp. I'm at cnolke at excite dot com if you want to talk about any of that. The cam and headers are pretty easy to do yourself too, if thats your kind of thing.

Hey thanks Chris, I will definetely be shooting you an email shortly. I have a bunch of questions about these engines and the tuning, not much available yet for the 05's. I have had two already but have not done a single thing to either. I wasted all the modding money on the Cobra. Guess this LS2 will be the lucky one!

So you saying that the header job can be done at home. I do have a decent sized garage now, but would definetely be needing some assistance if I would attempt to do it myself. From what Ive read it is about a 4-5 hour job if not an expert. I believe the steering rack needs to be unconnected.

It's about 4-5 hours for the cam if you are moving slowly, but you have to swap springs too... so a couple hours for that.

You don't have to move the steering column, thats the C5s and C6s. The F-bodies have half the springs under the cowl. The GTO is by far the easiest of the bunch.
