So my project car has quite a bit done. The weak link is the stock t5. Instead of putting out a lot of money on clutch packages, new tranny, line-lock, etc. I would rather go auto. I think it'll be cheaper, stronger, CONSISTENT, and more convenient. Sure the fun factor is out but this car will only see Atco, no street.

So here's my question(s). What does flash stall mean? What kind of torque converter should I get? Can I keep my long tube headers PLEASE!? This car should be in the 11s with my motor, suspension and rear combo. So which brand automatic should I have? I know full manual valve body's are what I have to go for but what does that do?

Thanks Everyone

Anthony

As far as autos goes, for a track only car, get a manual VB C4, with a big converter matched to the combo.

Ding ding ding....winner!

If it were a street car, a built AOD with a big stall converter would be fine...

But nothing beats a C4 for a fast track only Mustang.

PA Performance makes some great C4s and they're priced reasonably well.
