going back to factory...need some help

Ok, I just purchased a factory GT spoiler that is in great shape to put on my 88 GT. Been running a saleen spoiler for years but it's time to go back to the factory look. Anyhow, I would like to find some sort of material to put between the spoiler mounts and the hatch itself....like a gasket effect instead of bolting the spoiler right to the top of the hatch. I have seen thin foam rubber-like material used before with success but I don't know where I could find the stuff or if there is something else you guys would recommend. Any help/advice/opinions would be great....I hope that was a good description

I think all the factory uses is butyl tape around the bolt holes to seal out moisture
