Hey guys, haven't been on stangnet in long time. Had brain surgery and now i'm looking for a new car. No more GT its time to move up ahhaa. I found an 03 cobra with only 27K on it. Only thing I was wondering what should i look for when I test drive it. Also I noticed that there is no special tag on the engine that I've seen on others. Thanks again guys.

Read the 03/04 FAQ located as a sticky at the top of this forums page. It will address the most common issues with the car which you need to look for when shopping.

As for the missing engine builders tag... does the car have aftermarket valve covers by chance? Can you see the outline or any residual glue from where the tag was located? Might want to call 1-800-FORD-SVT with the VIN and see if it's actually a Cobra or not.

Mine never came off or got loose so who knows why the tag isn't there anymore.

If you need one, just look at the engine serial number(located on the left side of the block on the bottom near the oil pan) and call 1-800-FORD-SVT and they will send you a new tag.
