well i am back very very very disappointed. ran same exact times i was running with my street tires. with a worse 60'. 8.4 at 88mph with a 2.1 60'. tires would either spin really bad or the motor would bog cause i wouldnt leave hard enough. my clutch is in bad shape now it wont work with me at all so i think thats partly the problem.

the other guy i went to race there has an 02 GT with a novi 2k built motor stage 2 heads stage 2 cams and full exhaust ran a best of an 8.8 with nitto 315s too. he trapped 96 though. so could have been the track prep too.

but im not too happy with it and that was on a 150 shot as well.

made about 10 passes and the nitrous is now out.

i know with my 555r's i had to give em a couple good long burn outs initially and make a few passes on them before they got "broken in". once that happened i went from low 13.8's on my summitomo's to a high 13.5 running on 20 lbs of air in them.

Sheesh, 8.8 @ 96... thats turbo fwd car times, hahaha.

I have also heard Nitto's need a real good heat cycle before they start to get sticky.

Even then they are on the low end of the drag radials in terms of traction. Better than street tires though.

yea i also need some practice on them. but yea i would rate them as a good street tire and not really much of a drag tire after driving with them. i heated them up for about 3 seconds in the burnout box and still didnt get them to grip even sprayed 2nd gear and heard them squealing. burned them in 2nd gear in the burnout box too so they get hotter.
