so you want to know if you will win a race VS a 1.8 driven by a girl?

Unless you have no driver skill or cant shift it (depneding in if its a stick) You shouldnt have any troubles. Got anything done to yours? Not that it matters Im must courious

Here is what a quick google search came up with (b/c Im bored and the spike Power block is not on yet)

The latest GTi, based on the Golf body, gains 30 hp with a new 180 hp turbo engine. Sold as Golf GTI in Europe. Comes with manual or Tiptronic transmission. A 6-speed manual 20th Anniversary edition is also available.

Base price : $18,910

Engine : 4 cylinder, turbocharged, DOHC, front engine FWD
Displacement : 1,781 cc
Valve : 20 valves, 5 valves per cylinder
Transmission : 5-spd manual, 5-spd automanual,
Fuel economy : city - 22-24 mpg
highway - 29-31 mpg

Horsepower : 180 hp @ 5500 rpm
Torque : 173 lb-ft @ 1950 rpm
Redline : 6700 rpm

Top speed : 140 mph(estimated)
0-60 mph : 6.5 sec. (manual), 7.2 sec.(auto)
0-¼ mile : 15.3 sec @ 94.0 mph60-0 braking distance : 131 ft.
200 ft skidpad : 0.82 g

with the drive train loss your looking at about 150 HP or less to the wheels and it runs a 15.3 and thats magzine tested so unless shes a hell of a driver I would expect something more like a mid/high or high 15. When you race dont go from a roll, only faries and girls race from rolls so take her from the dig and let your TQ do all the work.
