Good 5.0 Mechanic Near Indianapolis

Hey everybody, I am about to buy my first Mustang (after years of dreaming), and am wanting to know if anybody knows of a good mechanic to work on 5.0's near Indianapolis. I am picking up a 1992 LX 5.0 Convertible. The car is entirely stock, right down to original exhaust. If anybody has the name of a good place please let me know.

Not sure what side of Indy you are on, but I would recommend Automotive Specialists in Noblesville.

Also, there are alot of good guys on corral .. just look under Midwest section and you'll find an Indy thread. Indy Hangout XXXV: Stroked, Blown, and Hitched! - Page 19 - Corral Forums is the latest..

One guy - Frank (onebad93lx) has a small yard of mustangs and can get whatever you need.

Tell them Todd sent you

I literally just bought a mustang and joined this forum in the last week, so I haven't been around. I have done some research online though and found some good mustang resources. By the way if that is your car in your sig it is a beauty.

I've been here along time.. just don't frequent that often.. hit or miss really. The guys on corral are pretty active..

I see. Is there a regular Mustang/car guy hangout on the weekends here in town? I've only been in Indy a little less than a year, so I'm not "in" with the crowd.

Yeah I have to agree, I just don't have access to all the great toys they have at the shops. I do know there are some places in Indy, I forget the name and will have to look it up again, but they will let you bring your car in and you can still do you own work. They will even help you out if you want (but it will cost you). Still pretty cool for those of us with limited garage space.
