so i came across this ad for a fox body, 302 cam on CL today. he's asing $100 for it, says it's never been installed in the car and needs to get rid of it due to putting a bigger motor in the car. can any of you translate what this means and tell me if it's a good cam for a "stock" 302 that, should i go that route, will end up with the typical bolt ons. any idea if it would be able to pass a smog check? oh yeah, i believe he said it's a trick flow cam if that makes any difference.

It'll work on a stock motor ok. It' a little on the small side, will have a little "lope". It' s almost a cross between an FRPP "E" and "F" cam. I would try to get it a little cheaper though. Check your PTV clearances when installing any cam.

It's a trick flow stage 1 cam. Popular cam, but on a stock 5.0 it's not where I would start
