I recently purchased a completely stripped '89 notch that I want to build a serious street/strip vehicle out of. What would be a good engine for street/strip? Stroked 302 or 351w? Nitrous, turbo, supercharged, or n/a? Built c4 or built t5? I have a completely stock 5.0 motor and t5 transmission laying around that I could use. Car has no wiring so, Carb or would fuel injection be worth the rewiring? There are just too many choices.

I would recommend a stroked 351W (393-408ci) backed by a tko500 or 600 for a serious street/strip car.

For the street, I would say big motor car, or supercharger. Although the way things are around here lately I would suggest a 2.3L automatic fox body, because they are really cracking down on street racing. We have moved from city to city, and they keep finding us. There are cops all over....

If I had to start from scratch again I think I would be looking at building a 460. Maybe with the intensions of a TT for it. At the very least a 351w based stroker kit.
