I went to the track for the first time in 6+ months. I had just about given up on this track because it sucked. They resurfaced some of the launch pad and boy did it work for me. I had consistent low 1.68 60's. I am lucky if I get a 1.70 or high 1.69 because of my tight converter.

The weather was very nice and there was a lot of good racecars out there. We ran 1/8 mile ant my best was a 7.36 @ 94. I went 5 rounds and got put out by an old man in a street dakota 5.9. I hit the brakes, locked the front left tire and he passed me by. That is more sensitive in 1/8 mile I guess. I wasnt thinking. Truck before me dumped a ton of water on the launch pad. My 60' went down to a 1.75 that pass. Should have never hit the brakes because I knew my 60' was in the toilet.

That is racing. Hopefully this qualifies as tech. Couple of pics of the car normal and launching. Thanks mom!

28x9 MT ET Drags on a 15x8 rim. Forget the backspacing, but could go an 1/2 inch to an inch more inside and still have room (no quad shocks).

Fronts are 15x3.5 with 24 inch tall front runner. Shorter tires give a better R/T. Taller get a better MPH.

Nice job there hllon4whls! :nice:

I figured with those tires and times I would see a little air under those front runners.........or did they take the picture too early...

The car had some serious engine cobwebs. Took a couple of passes to clean it out (always does). If I let it sit too long, it runs crappy for a few passes. Nothing to worry about, so I just drive it out of the car. So that is a bad launch.

Also with my 1500 stall converter (yes, that is all) the best I can do is pull the drivers side about 1.5 inches and only for a second. To be running upper mid 11's, I should have a low 1.6 60', but I do not. That is why my stock axles, traction loc, control arms (upper and lower) and torque boxes are still holding up.

4:30s with stickys and stock axles, thats awsum. I had 355s and my hole rear was busted up with dragradials on my mach.
