so i have the option to buy a pretty powerful 306 that came out of a 84 stang that ran 12.3 in the 1/4.... its got only about 500 miles on it since rebuilt. it has GT40P heads ported and polished.... my question to all of you is: will the GT40P heads woek with any header to fit in a 69 stang??? if worst comes to worst i can get some different heads or reuse my stock 302 heads but the ones that are on the new engine flow crazy CFM.

How much does he want for it? And those 500 miles in an 84 Mustang might only be divided into quarter miles on the drag strip (in that case it's likely worn out) GT40P's are header specific in most cases due to the spark plug angles

$1200 doesn't sound unreasonable then if you know the history behind it.
