Locally, there is a for sale ad with 3 COPS and all 8 boots for $90 a good deal or not?

Nope, why would you want used stock coils? If you have a failed coil it the best reason to get MSD coils or something like them. Last year MM & FF tried them out and saw 9hp with the high output coils
