im not sure about these cars, but with most any other people say to sell your auto equipped car and just buy one with a manual. I think it would be a PITA to install the clutch pedal and various things involving the swap.

What's all included? Sounds like an awful lot of money to me, unless you are buying everything new.

Yeah that seems like too much. I pieced together a complete 5spd FOX swap with used parts for my brother's car including the trans for $450 and parts are rare and hard to come by around here. I'd wait for a better deal if you can.

Yeah I wouldnt think about touching that kit for 1100 without the trans, thats crazy talk. You can get the pedals for 50 bucks on the classifieds or ebay. Thats really the only thing you need, besides the trans, order yourself a nice spec stage 1 clutch for about 220, grab a used flywheel off the classifeds, have it resurfaced for 30 bucks at the machine shop. You can get a used shifter for like 80 bucks or so.

shifter 80
trans t 5 200-500
flywheel 30 +30 (resurface)
pedals 50
clutch cable 25-80
you could get everything for like 500 or less and. even if you found a t5 for 500 and bought everything else your sitll way under a 1000

im thinking of the whole selling and buying an auto, but i think i could only get 2k for my 5.0....i only paid 1500 for it....but it had a blown aod and wasnt running. 250.00 later its purs, but more like a sloth than a wild animal(damn aod) i just dont want to get rid of it. its rust free, interioir was covered its whole life. and the a/c is ice cold!!!???
im thinking of getting a sn95 94 or 95, maybe even a 96 or 98, but there just too damn heavy!
but here is what the kit comes with
Brand New King Cobra Clutch Kit
Spacer Plate
Flywheel w/ Bolts
Pressure Plate Bolts
Bell housing
Clutch Fork
Clutch Fork Dust Cover
Transmission Bell housing Bolts
Shifter w/ handle
Upper & Lower Shift Boots

These cars are super easy to do 5 speed swaps on. don't sell it just to get a manual. There are a couple aspects of the process that are a bit trying on the patience, but overall if you have enough skill to take out your AOD you have the skill to do the swap. Ask questions along the way and make sure you know what you are doing before you do it.

RIP OFF!!!

I paid $1000 for everything with a T5. So your $130 more into it, and at least $500 for a decent T5 (or what good ones go for here). I would say for some wiring, pedals, Bhousing, and clutch your getting ripped unless everything is brand new never used.

I almost cried when I saw a complete T-5 swap (with aftermarket shifter, new clutch, and everything else) on Craigslist for $300 a couple of weeks ago. I hate being broke ... hate it, hate it, HATE IT! Where's my friggin' tax return check, already?

well i bought it!!! it wasn't the worst deal considering all the stuff i got. plus it like 5 mins from my house and he'll help me out as needed,as weel as hook me up with stuff. i did alright, considering this is my 2nd mustang buddy, and i only see used t-5 for 250-350. around here!!! but i know it wasnt a steal, but the hood and lights were and so was my car! so i can live with it, the only part that sucks is i need some little stuff
new throw out bearing(anyone want to throw one my way, i handle shipping)
clutch fork pivot ball(mine is ok but not the best)
but so far this is what i got,so tell me the stuff i need!!!!!!!

`good t-5
`shifter, shifter plat cover,(everything but the leather boot)
`bell housing with cover plate( i guess starter index plate)
`flywheel
`pedal assembly
`after market clutch quadrant
`ford racing king cobra clutch
`center force dual friction pressure plate, th one with the weight-ring **** (great shape)
`clutch cable
`harness for backup
`sack of bolts

according to my list and fact the parts i have are recommend to replace,
i need
`pivot ball
`throw out bearing
`speedometer gear(for 3.73"s/future plan)
`t5 cross member,he told me the auto and the t5 are not necessary to replace, but he has one for me that he needs to pull, if i need it???
so about another 80 in parts, and im tackling this little sob!!!!

That is far from normal though, as most good condition T5s are going to cost that money if not more.

I think you made out good with it, and you will be happy when the T5 is in the car!

Don't you need to change out your cars computer as well when you do the swap?
