I just picked up a 1985 gt standard with some mods like full duals H pipe with cats long tubes, K&N filter, accel coil, a bigger rad and oil or tranny cooler not sure which, sub frames, and more. It has stock ten holes with 275's on the back. Anyway $340cdn needs some tlc but I think I lucked out. I am planning on turning this in to a street beast and any and all advice will be appreciated. I will be modifying as money permits and will post pics asap.

Sounds awesome! Is that 340 or 3400? 340 is a smoking deal.....even if its a pos, lol You can private message me if you need to ask anything about the 85's.....I know quite a bit about them

That is not a typo it was $340 and its not a pos either I am having trouble starting it with the key but pushed it a few times and besides idling high and a little hesitation when you step on the gas, it screams!!! I have yet to road test the car really but with some work I think I will be very happy. I bought a new battery, solenoid and starter and checked all the connections besides the clutch safety thing I dont know what. I charged the battery overnite then tried to start it and it cranked for about 1 sec the nothing I gave it maybe 2 more tries with the key.......nothing then had to jump out of the car to unplug the battery charger that was billowing black smoke. I guess I should of unplugged it before trying to start the car but I do not think that should of happened either way ..no..?? The kicker is I borrowed it and I will likely or shall I say will likely be asked to replace it just because thats the way the guy is because the charger is probably older than me.
