i recently found a 87 turbocoupe for sale and its 500 bucks, it has new water pump, alternator, shocks etc... what im wondering is if its a good deal? the guy i talked to said that those cars have a "plastic" valve cover and it was melted??(strange) and how hard is it to find a new cover? also he said that it is missing two exhaust manifold studs, but it runs and drives still...worth the cash?

i got the car a few days ago, all it needs is the exahust manifold bolts fixed and i got to get the fuel gauge working somehow?? other than that, theres only 100xxx miles on it so it didnt look too bad either.. Looked hella better than i thought it would, and if there i a fuel sending unit or somethin that works with the gauge, doesn anyone know of a part number i could get so i could find one?? i was at work today searching the motorcraft books and i couldnt even find on ein there..hmm any suggestions is greatly appreciated

btw, i ended up getting the car for $400

Hate to steal a thread, but this classified is in the newspaper: Good deal or no?

sounds like it might be a good deal, depends though. depends on the condition. i would definetly check it out soon. thats literally a complete turbo swap, or a good car to start with.
