Good deal???

Alright guy, my buddy hit a deer with his 91 gt the other night on his way home from work. The car has a forged 331 stroker with 57,000 miles on it that pulled 357 rwhp N/A, plus a 150 shot Zex kit, t5, 18 inch cobra Rs, decent interior, new centerforce, and locked 3.73 rear end. He priced me the whole car, kit and all for $1300, but its gonna need Hood, Front Clip, Headlights and fogs, Driver Fender, fender moldings, Windshield and Possibly a radiator. I want to fix the car Iv always been a "fix'em dont crush 'em" guy and it was really a very nice car before. So do you guys think I should buy?

well there is this 86 GT roller on Clist I been eyein for 500 bucks and I havent thought about doing that but the only downside is my neighbors will complain if I have too many cars in the yard and they already hate me and my brother (he lives next door) and he has A 71 Nova drag car with 555 ci chevy BB in it so you can prolly picture how much they hate us already cops have been called several times for noise HAHAHA

well I use to live out of the city limits but they moved them about 3 years ago so now im in it plus they put a new neighborhood in about a 1/4 mile away with a bunch of snoots in it so I cant get away with anything anymore lol but what can I say? things change

**** your neighbors

Screw that. We have a house in my neighborhood where the guy basically repairs cars on the side...so at any time there are 2-3 ****boxes on the lawn in various states of disrepair and he's in his driveway with airtools blasting away from 8AM on a sat to midnight. Then his buddies come over at 1AM and he revs the exhaust up on his Camaro SS to prove it's still there. They also light fireworks all the time, play music til 1AM and all this other BS. It's an upper middle class neighborhood, so this house stands out like a sore thumb.

I'm a car guy too, but at least i'm respectful of my neighbors....and their property values

In all fairness Mike I completely agree with you.....in your situation. The fact that this guy is already concerned about it and its factoring into his decisions tells me that he wont be like your neighbors, but rather respectful. :nice:

There comes a point where you just need to say "**** your neighbors"

Just cause someone doesnt like you doesnt mean you have to let them influence a decision you want to make. Especially if you have lived there longer, i dont know the OP but i doubt hes doing burnouts in his driveway at 3am to test out his new 306. I dont see anything wrong with wrenching on your cars during appropriate hours(sorry but there is nothing wrong with wrenching at 8am, some people like to be up early) Learning WHEN to be respectful is key.

My wife and I went through this but it was more of a hood rats moving in next door thing. Two broken down caddys in the driveway and thumpin music w/all night parties, 40 0z bottles tossed in my yard.....Domestic violence with police twice a week, I had to give up and sell my house. Now I'm on 2 acres outside of town in a nice new house. If someone else out here says **** the neighbors it's gonna get ugly.

There is a difference with being an ******* like that and building a car or 2. I have a neighbor that no joke calls the cops 2-3 times a week cause the sound of the water hitting the grass at 3am keeps him and his family from getting a proper nights sleep :rlaugh: City regulations is to water between 2 and 3am, yet the sound the water makes when it hits the grass is unbearable. He also has an issue we me mowing my lawn at 6pm. Maybe i have become jaded but man sometimes you gotta say **** your neighbors. I even had a neighbor come over and ask me if it was really necessary to detail my truck in the driveway instead of taking it somewhere to have it done.
