Hey everyone looking for someone to point me in the right direction:

New to the south, left all my tools in storage and a free garage/lift in AZ ... ive found a good parts supplier already but thats all that it is unfortunately. Anyone local know of a good speed shop or a friendly (mustang friendly) garage i can give some business? Thanks

There are a couple speedshops on South Blvd, but I do not know anything about them. They are both DiabloSport dealers. Underground Racing (704) 361-1444 saleenkc@aol.com Carolina Performance Racing (704) 527-0123 eric@cprace.com.

I have been using Gibsons Auto & Tire. They are at 5124 Old Pineville Rd Charlotte (704)527-0011. They have always done great work. As long as they are quality parts, they are willing to install the aftermarket parts you bring into them. I recently had them install PowerSlot rotors, Hawk pads, and StopTech stainless steel brake lines on my Lincoln LS. If you want to go to the next level with some sort of power package, computer tune, and dyno testing, they do not do any of that. They are just a great repair shop willing to do a bit extra.

I have dealt with the guys at Harris racing in Concord. Its about 5-10 minutes from Lowe's motorspeedway. They have had cars featured in the Modified Mustang mag as well as a few tech articles. They are very friendly and knowledgeable, here is a link: http://www.harrisracinginc.com/

The best place, no doubt, for mustangs is right next to the speedway. I forget the name of the place but you go beside the speedway to entry "R". It's off of moorehead rd... you can't miss entry "R" becuase they are all labled with huge signs. Once you get into entry R you'll have to take your second right, i think, and go up a hill. You'll see signs... Sorry that I can't remember the name. It's operated by a guy named Dell. You'll see plenty of mustangs.... very quick one's too. A little on the expensive side for me but they definately know their stuff.

Gosh I wish I could remember that name. I've lived in charlotte all my life and this is the #1 mustang place. Moorsville has a couple places and there used to be a place called undergroundracing but they only work on vipers now.

I used CPR on South Blvd for some gears and a tune. Not real happy with the gear install, they whine, and the tune did nothing for the performance of my car. I would suggest you try elsewhere first. Nothing bad just not the best experience for my hard earned money
