Good headers for the 4.6l

So far a have down a bassani off road x pipe and a magnaflow magnapack catback, I have been trying to find a good set of headers to replace the manfolds, the FRPP shorties are a good price but, some people have told me they are not worth it, I hear long tubes are the best but how much do I have to modify my x-pipe to get them to fit, plus i was looking at the equal length bassani headers has anybody had a tries with those.
Thanks for the help,

flowtech just released the knock off hookers and are cheap through summit for full lengths , you will need to modify the midpipe.

everyone starts, but not everyone posts 5 thread on exactly the same topic within a few minutes of each other.

to answer your question: if you can, get long tube headers. if you can't becase of emissions, there are a lot of shorty headers out there but most of them only show marginal gains. personally i'd go with JBA shorties if I couldn't do long tubes. That or the JBA midlength's :)

I say just go with some long tubes. They will give you all of the low end you lost with the x-pipe and catback.
