Just to add some info... I tried an extended oil change and kept Royal Purple in there for 8K miles but changed the filter twice in there. Had the oil analyzed and results came back great - lab said I could go longer between changes.

I used royal purple in my car and i dont like it My car seems like its running hotter or something, it doesnt run as smooth/good as it does with just plain ol' ford motorcraft oil

maybe it's just me tho..
