I need to have some E7's tanked, valve job, seals, etc, as well as a broken intake bolt removed. Anybody recommend a good machine shop in Hillsboro for this kinda work?

Somers won't do, Vancouver is not somewhere I go unless I absolutely must. I thought there was a well respected shop out here in Hillsboro. I'm not getting any hits on Kalsch in the yellow pages .

I decided to get off my lazy ass, that's what happened . E7's are stock 5.0L heads, I need to get mine cleaned up so I can put them back on the '95. It's going back to stock so that I can sell it.

I dug up an old thread from '03 (actually of YOURS Hairy) and "the other" Dave explained how to get to Larry Kalsch's place:

Kalsch is in "burrow", he's out on witchhazel road ( i dont think thats spelled right ) but its parrallel to TV hwy right next to the rollerskating rink. Its on the south side of the hwy as youre headed out of town toward beaverton off TV hwy. Ya turn south out there where the gas station and the dairy queen are, just west of the new Fred meyers and the Home base or home depot/ whatever that place is.... anyhow ya should be able to find his number under Kalsch ( pronounced cultch, like clutch only with the l-u reversed )

hope that helps

Yah, I kinda remember asking the question. Just shows the depths of my laziness... instead of searching, I just asked again .

That does help, I'll see if I can find 'em. I need to get the '95 out of my garage...

Lmao..it was funny, I was searching google and it was the first one I stumbled upon. Ah well. If you can find him, I am told he does very good work. He is another roundy round guy but should be able to squeeze you in. Good luck!

Dave, Larry's shop (and house for that matter) are on the North side of witch-hazel road, right by the rollerskating rink (is it still there?). Just come off tv hwy at DQ and head southwest on witchhazel and Larry's place is about a quarter mile on the right. (Kalsch)

Hutchin's Machine is down here around Raleigh Hills. Not a bad lunch errand from the Berm.

He does everything you need unless you need to have a bolt EDM'ed. Ive been extremely happy with his work and head flowing abilities.

EDM'd?

Get me a job at the Berm and then it wouldn't be a bad lunch errand for me either.

An EDM machine uses an electrical arc to etch away material (usually metal).... it can take a broken bolt out without hurting the threads. (if the operator is good)
