The good news is, I got my new wheels on. I have 245's on the back for now but I will have 315's on by tomorrow. They are as you guessed it 17x9.5 in the front and 17x11 in the rear. We tried to get a 335 that the shop had on there but there was no way it was going to fit in the fender well without cutting the tips off and using a hammer to a few select places. BTW, we used a 3 mm spacer in the front and it clears the calipers unless there is a lot of strain on the wheels when turned lock to lock. So Im going to have to grind down the calipers a little and paint them because they need the paint to begin with.

The bad news is that some jagoff backed into me today about an hour after getting the wheels on. Guys was in front of me leaving wendy's. He put it into reverse. I layed on the horn and started swearing. He then hit the gas and nailed me. Owell, insurance is going to cover it so I lucked out. Enjoy the pics.

LOL, the mexican at the wheels shop like the look. Funny thing is all their cars have this same type of look. Wide wheel small tire. I'm getting some used 315 BFG off a buddie tonight so I will have them on by tomorrow.

I cant believe they got the tire on the rim, we were goin to start taking bets.

Thanks for the compliments.

WOW.. that's a stretch! Sorry about the front ender.... what a moron. You honked and they still did it? Usually things slow down in an accident, I bet it was SLOOOOOOW motion.

The wheels are nice. Kinda wish I had waited to buy the wide lip.... but then again, I like being one of the leaders and not the followers with the Black Bullitts.

Damn i cant even beleive they hold air like that! It looks so funny. And your right about them damn mexicans liking their cars like that (im mexican myself and cant stand the sight of it. LOL)

And I feel for you about the bumper. I had some dumb ass old man do the same thing one time. He pulled through the cross walk at the light and decided he needed to back up. He just kept coming back until he hit me even with me honking and yelling out the window. Then worst of all he didnt knwo he hit me and just drove off. Chased him for half and hour and he wouldnt pull over. I could have killed him.

I havent been over 30 mph with the new wheels. Im scared the rears will loose their seal under a hard turn. Anyone know how much bigger a 1/4 inch spacer than a 3mm. My calipers rub ever to slightly when the wheels are turned all the way or under serious braking. They rub so lightly that there arnt any marks on the wheel. Yet at least.

Man dan, thats a new bumper too isnt it .....Nice wheels, did you get them through dave? Oh and the rears should be ok...All those drifters put small tires on big wheels precicely so they dont break the bead in a drift. Looks good, are those pics in front of Daves garage?

The pics are in front of my garage, the one we never work on our cars at. I got the wheels through a buddie of dave's. Arandas on ashland south of north ave.

I got the wheels for $1200 with a set of tires for the back, mounted and balanced with locking lugs and the spacers for the front. Im going to try and get my $100 back because he didn't have the tires I wanted for the back. He said he had a set of used 315 nittos I could use that had good tread left. And he could not find them when I got to the shop.

Alls he could find were a set of 335's and there was no way they were going to fit in that fender well. He was nice enough to put the 245's on for today. But the 315 will have to go on tomorrow. Those 245 street tires love to spin 1st gear.

And yes, the bumper is brand new.

Vib, if I remember right, your quote was $1089 shipped to my door. I got everything, lugs, locks, spacer, the tires mounted and balanced, anda a set of tires for the rear, for $1200.

Sorry I didn't order through you vib. This guys price was too good considering he was only 2 blocks away and I had everything done in one place.

Everythings new except I already had tires for the front. And Im going to get my 315's tomorrow. And I have a choice BFG drag radials, or Goodyear GSC's

Thanks for the drop oink. BTW, how do you like the k-member from UPR, any problems with it. Id think that with your motor that you'd test every weak point of the thing.
