I'm currently collecting parts to convert my 5.0 from carb to EFI. I got the intakes, distributer, new harness from Ford racing, etc... But I don't have the computer yet, but I still would like some kind of fuel management system that I can control.

A lot of the import guys use the Greddy piggyback. It's about half the price of the twEECer. However I don't know if it will work with eeciv (it will however work with eecV). Anyone know for sure? The twEECer RT is by far better. You get what you pay for.

I have the RT and it made a night and day difference with how my car drove, and even sounded.

It was not hard to get the major things (CID/Injector size/MAS) programmed which made a huge difference. It used to die usually twice on a cold startup, now I don't even have to touch the throttle to start it up. It's not perfect cause I have not had much time to mess with it, but it's WAY better.

I just wish there was a more complete manual/tutorial out there that could help explain the massive amounts of stuff that it can do. Walt's thing is pretty good, but it could have more.
have you gone to the TwEECer forums?

Yea i've been reading through that stuff like its my job. Still a lot to take in, and i dont have the tweecer yet so its hard to understand things when you cant do it. Hopefully i can scrape some money together while i'm at school and i'll have it to play with over spring break.

TwEECer is definately nice, but most people don't understand how much you really need to learn. It IS overwhelming, but if you read enough you'll understand what you need to change and such....if you do decide to go with a TwEECer get nothing but the R/T. The datalogging goes hand and hand with tuning, without it, well you can't do all that much.... I had the base model, but upgraded to an R/T.

So far i thing i have a grasp on what i would wanna change. Set up the maf curve, injector slopes and basically set up a value for OL once my boost comes on and start pulling timing at that point as well. That in addition to getting rid of my EGR and Smog pump.
