ok guys I am getting ready to look into some quality header gaskets because i already have an exhaust leak after one week. I am also gonna get some stage 8 locking header bolts to so that way the bolts wont come loose. Who makes good quality gaskets for headers? I have heard from quite a few people that bassani gaskets are top notch? is this true if not what would you reccommend? I want a metal gasket and one that will last a long time of some sort not your regular gaskets tho. Any help here will be appreciated thanks..

Head gaskets ok i have had to pull the heads on my motor 2 times already for an oil leak on the back of the pass. side head which still hasnt stop. I used the ford head change kit both times and the gaskets in it look like crap. do you guys think those gaskets are ok? or should i have the flatness of that head checked out? Which gaskets are quality ones, ones that are like no more than $50 a piece. Any help here will be appreciated.

In a couple of months i plan on adding a set of VT stage 2 cams with valve springs so i am gonna PULL the motor this time and take the heads off and have the pass. side checked and fixed if possible and then im gonna add the new exhaust gaskets with the stage 8 bolts and install the heads with good gaskets if needed. I may not need expensive gaskets because it may just be the head...but i am gonna also replace the lash adjusters in the heads because i have some that are bad and they make a horrible ticking sound. I dont plan on using and type of forced induction on this motor if that matters. If you guys can shed some light on this i would appreciate it..:SNSign:

I was always told the stock Ford gaskets were the best fit to use. When I put in my BBK headers I ordered a set of Stage 8 bolts and a brand new set of Ford Racing header gaskets from Summit. No leaks and no problems.

the Ford ones are ALL metal, rather pricey at @$96.00 for a set of 4 but IMHO they are the best

I went with a set of Mr Gasket Ultraseal gaskets. The Ford ones are fine if you're going with the stock heads, but mine are ported and the Ultraseals were a little larger to accomidate the larger ports. I don't recall how much the Ford exhaust gaskets were, since a set of them came with the Kooks headers that I bought.

I may still have them kicking around if someone wants to buy them?
