Hi,

I am trying to find a good shop around Everett, WA that is fairly reasonable pricewise to do some installs.

Mainly, a 3.73 Rear and and a MGW Short Shift Kit at the moment.

I was hoping I could get a few reccomendations on shops around this area and also perhaps what the hourly rate for labor I should expect when I get this done?

Thank you very much for any help,

Marc

You can install a shifter yourself on any pre-05 Mustang in about twenty minutes with one socket.

Mine is an 08 GT and I have a few friends back in NY who I saw do it before I moved out here and it took them about 90mins to 2 hours.

Just not something I personally want to do, It'd drive me insane so for my own sanity sake.. I'll let them do it. Supports the economy anyway

I can't believe guys who take the early cars in!! I know a guy who took his to Bickfords to have a MGW installed. They screwed it up!! They got the stop in too far and he couldn't get it in 3rd gear. He had too take it back..took time off work etc.

In the North end your choices are
Brad's Custom Auto
&
Bills Custom Auto and Truck Works
Both do great work.

So what did you think of Bill and his work? Talked to him the other day and he told me that you came in.

That's kind of funny.

I was waiting for something to finish installing here at work and said to myself, "I should go let everyone know how pleased I was with Bill's work."

Not only was the service outstanding and professional but Bill was very friendly and helpful with every question I had.

The rear install does not whine a single bit and the shifter is smooth as ever now that it's broken in a bit.

I would highly reccommend Bill to anyone in the area looking to have work done on their Mustang (or any car for that matter).

The people recommended here do awesome work too. When I lived in Snohomish, my roommate would always go there with his stuff and nothing but awesomeness came from it.

Before I started working on it myself, I took my 68 over to Evergreen Auto, across from Pep Boys on 4th up here in Everett. The owner has a 2005 black Saleen and goes out to Clearview once in a while. They are fairly reasonable and if I trust them with L.B. ... then you know they can't be bad!
