Can anyone tell me where there is a good shop in IL to do my gears. I live by VictorFord in Wauconda, but the wanted way to much. I am hoping to spend no more than $400 to get them installed. Also what gears would guys recommend--I am thinking about 4.10's.
Cheapest gear install I have found in IL is in Peoria at a shop called SloPny. They will do it for $150. Most places around here that I have talked to want more than $400. Go with 4.10's!!!
Ask for Steve he's one of the owners they aren't expensive and they are a bunch of good guys there. It's mainly a import shop but Steve drives a stang and is always looking for more domestic work specially since he's got a ford mechanic that works there.
