u know what i love , every one on the internet thinks they are a english major . if i thought this was a english class where i had to uses periods and question marks i wouldnt post on these boards . and explain to me why my point has to be better made ? why ?to who ? i dont come on here to make a point and to to this and to use periods and whatnot . i came on here and said something shoot me if i doesnt sound good to you . maybe instead of coming on here and telling me to take a deep breath and to start over again u should just hit your back button on your browser and go to the next thread and correct someone else instead of coming on hear and acting like we should all be using correct puncation . its people like u that make me not want to meet some other mustang owners cause you think u are better then someone else and you are the same as me and other people on this board u try to make people look stupid instead of just not saying anything because u have not said anything usual towards the Origanl poster of this thread

Your doing a fine job of looking stupid on your own. By not using proper grammar, you DO come across as, well, an idiot. Now, I'm not calling you an idiot.............just making an observation, so don't get all pissy........

I'm calling on this whole thing. So your guy does good work. I'm happy for you. What you have been saying about other shops is just crap. I have NEVER been given a "ballpark" figure from any of the reputable shops. I have always been charged the same as the quote I was given. My problem with you is that you come on here and bash the shops, but won't give any specifics. If your guy does great work, then by all means suggest him - don't bash others without reason, or giving details.

ok so i sound stupid . do i care? nope . why is that ,i dont come on here to impress people or to have people judge me over how i write . if i wanted to sound smart and whatnot i would be over on a corvette board or something .and just to give ya a example . i called the man from what every one is saying Mike Dez @ dez racing asked him for a price rate on a 96 cobra for a vortech .his answer "well u will be looking at around 600 or so could be a little more .those do take some time cause u need to bend the ac lines in that I THINK . and gauges will be extra maybe hour or 2 " theres a example . u can call all the BS u want thats fine . i didnt bring it up a few posts ago because just like this every one gets on your case if u bring up one Neg thing about a shop .that and i dont like to bash shops because i get jumped all over from 20 people . i am done with this thread i voiced my opion on a shop and from there we are talking about English class and writing class .. have a good nite guys

You obviously post for others to read what you type. My point was that what you are typing is very hard to understand without correct grammar or somewhere near atleast. You are correct though this discussion is :OT:

Do you know how to read? I don't think you do. Do you see what kind of car I have? A 2001 Cobra, that means IRS which means higher labor from Dez, Laferriere, MPE, Leonard's, etc. Once again i will say go over to corral and search for notchstang92, he is a friend of mine and has had experiences w/ MPE, Leonards, Laferriere, CE, and CD Performance. I used to think the way most of you do, then I tried Doug and I wish I went to him from the start. Another funny thing is that mystic and notchstang92 get accused of consipiring against the other shops out there because they post real world factual accounts. The problem is we are all friends so its natural to think we have a hidden agenda which isn't true, we just try to promote a qualified mechanic who knows cars and has been repairing them properly for a living for almost 40 years.

You guys sure come off as conspiring against them. Like I said, Please promote your guy if he does great work. Don't post "real world factual accounts" without posting any of the facts you refer to. Correction, notchstang92 has never done business at LaFerriere Racing. Bottom line, you have never once been down to the shop. Yes it is extremely hard to get ahold of us. No one denies that, we don't have a secretary. You guys obviously have all the time in the world to spend on the computer. If you want to discuss it in person come to the NEBOC car show at A&W on the 8th, I'll be there.

matt, how could we do business at your shop if we never get a call back or we get a run around ?i tried to business with your buddy there and he knows it but i got a run around for a week and never a straight answer.its not like your shop is down the street where i can jump in my car and drive there just to get an answer . i cant make it to the show i work sorry ,that and what are we going to talk about ? how good your shop is and how high the prices are?i am all set first impressions make a lasting impression on me so thats why when this subject comes up i post my experince with the shop . and not sure if notchstang is on this board but he had some experince down there also but he was going to drop way more money on stuff then me a whole griggs racing kit or something but again got a run around and not a call back .

Well, we recently did some installs for a few guys who were quoted WAY higher prices by your friend in Holbrook, don't shoot the messanger. No spin, just the truth. Again, see my post above....no secretary. The phone rings off the hook all day,everday. Sorry you can't make the show either, I'm sure we can get together sometime at the track maybe, or at a dyno day. I'm sure we can find something to talk about.

So why don't you get a secretary then and learn a few things about business. Now I know why notchstang92 never wasted his time w/ you. He never said he has had work done at laferriere, just that he called for prices and got the run around for a couple weeks. He did speak to people there, but nothing ever came of it so he lost interest. Maybe you should get your facts straight before you run your mouth. I never said he had work done at your shop, just that he had experiences w/ you and wasn't impressed. Where in any of those statements does it mention work that he had done there. You just get all upset because he and mystic post facts to let people know what they are getting into.

I too would like to hear what jobs these were and how much doug morgan quoted your customers and how much you charged him.

All this crap is about someone who didn't get a call back? I keep reading references to other shops that charge way to much and do poor work. I think it's a little unfair to try and steer work away from them because because someones feelings got hurt.

Mystic, it was for long tube headers on a 99gt, and mid length bassani headers on a 98 cobra. The customer with the 99gt posted here and said he was very happy. Here is the direct qoute from AJ99, you should remember because you posted a few times in his thread

I got the best proce from him and have heard nothing but good things about his work. Hey Chris saw doug today.Also gave him the keys. He is doing the 351w swap in my 90 notch. I have had work done on my cars by Doug before. Great guy Knows his ****.Hard to belive he'd be more expensive than anyone else.
