goodbye 3.73 !

well for about 2.5 weeks iv had this vibration in my drivetrain took it to a shop for a free look over said i had a bad u joint not too bad wait another week to get paid go buy one i put my car on jak stands and pulled the driveshaft and there is no play in the u jionts look at my rear end pinion seal is gone oil all over floor pans and my differential cover gasket is also gone... i grabed the pinion shaft and i got about 1 cm of play in it....i have a feeling i killed it what di you guys think.

One way to find out, pull the differential cover off and check it out.

well i open it up and there is no metal shavings in there BUT the shaft that goes into my posi to hold the axles in place is loose and the bolt that holds taht in place was broke so i have to get a new differential.

If it was that messed up before, you'll love the new one, It makes it feel like a new car. Going to stick with 3.73's in the new unit?
