I recently blew one of my heater hoses on my 88 Gt and i was thinkin id switch and get a silicone hose kit. Im lookin at the Goodyear and the Ford Racing kits on summit and i notice that the Goodyear hoses seem to be quite differently shaped in the pictures. Has anyone installed the Goodyear set? I like the look of them but i dont want to hack up brand new hoses to make them fit.

I don't know about the goodyear kit but I have the Ford racing kit which I think is basically the same has the police package hoses. The FRPP kit came with everything needed and fit perfect no trimming and I like the looks of it. when you take the heater hose off make sure to check for the flow restictor, many people forget and leave it in the old hose and toss it out. The flow restrictor helps the life of the heater core, I don't know if 50resto still list them if yours is missing but I know PPI still has them.

I use the blue Good Year High Miler hoses and they are great. They are higher pressure hoses. Well,I'm using all of them but the upper radiator hose.It was in a box during the engine swap and got split by a piece of metal so I replaced it with a chrome hose. Anyway, they are nice.

When I bought the Goodyear Hi-Miler kit several years ago, it didn't come with pre-formed heater hoses. The FRPP silicone kit came with all the hoses.

My car has been running the exact Goodyear kit for 5 years now and they still look and work well.
