Stick with your 4R70W. You're already further ahead now as far as the cost and trouble to swap it over. Don't listen to these automatic haters. Your auto can be built up to run every bit as fast as a stick car and far more consistent than any 5-speed. A good performance rebuild and a stall converter along with a rear end gear swap will turn you Stang into a whole new car.
