i was on I75 in georgia going home and got a fat ass ticket! i was in the mustang and i was just going with the flow. he had to pick the 21yo in the new mustang out of the croud. hope i can just pay the ticket over phone or net. really hope i dont have to go to court.

is $79.00 make the check out for $82.00, some small am ount over the
fine. The system will then have to send you back a check for the
difference. However, here is the trick: DO NOT CASH THE REFUND
CHECK! Throw it a way!

Points are not assessed to your license until all Financial
Transactions are complete. If you do not cash the check, then the
transactions are NOT complete. The system has received its money
and is satisfied and will no longer bother you.
This information comes from an unmentionable computer company that
sets up the standard databases used by every state.
Send this to everyone you know. You never know when they may need a break.

...and depending in which state you're using said radar detector, get caught with it and have it seized, then pay a hefty fine on top of your speeding ticket.

It would probably make more sense just to slow down and keep it under 15-20 over. 82mph is excessive on any strip of road in North America, I don't care what you're driving, or how old the person is driving it.

I imagine you (AquaTeen2004) must have been doing something a little more than "just going with the flow" in order to stand out amongst the pack that got his attention.

and if you're a policeman like me; you just leave your radar off (which we don't even use anymore; mostly all laser] until you see the vehicle you want; flash it on and off real quick and BAM!! you have them AND their detector goes off.... to late. About 1/2 of the people I pull over have detectors. Just be reasonable with your speed..... 82 in a 55?!?!?!?! Come on, even with the flow of traffic that's a little excessive..

I use my cruise control and stay within the speed limit. Yes, I really do. It seems everyone passes me and I wonder if there really is a speed limit.
It is very frustrating to me that virtually no one other than me seems to obey the speed limit and most drive 20 MPH over the limit or even faster.
Why even have a speed limit if that's reality?

I am also a cop and here is some input. Don't waste any money on radar detectors as they mostly pick up on computer equipment located in all police cars not to mention as someone else said, lasers are what alot of people are using.....not me because I dont care, I have enough things to worry about besides speeders. Second when someone gets pulled over for any moving violation something gets the attention of the police that targets you, kinda like I always hear..."you stopped me cause im black" yea had nothing to do with the gun u have in your waist or the stolen car your in with the music rattling houses. Point being you did something wrong and got caught and thats all, maybe exhaust got his attention, shiny rims etc. Third if your going to get points assigned which is likely I have heard about that over paying trick so give it a shot it may work. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions I might be able to give some advise.

or u can just do like me and start riding sport bikes lol unless the helicopter is up you will be fine and its just going to be 4 points and a fine, your 21 so u wont loose your license, they suspended my license for that when i was 17

i know dude, ive always wanted a sport bike. when i get my 2005 ranger paid off it will happen! im really liking the new 600rr honda.
i came so close to getting a 2002 600f4i when i was 18 but im glad i didnt because i would be dead right now. haha

I feel for you on that one, that does suck. I've been on I75 many of times and vouch for you, 82 in a 55 is like the average speed. Of course I'm talking about the section near Atlanta.

Some of you have obviously never driven in Atlanta if you think 82 is fast. If your in the far left lane on 285 and aren't running 90 in a 55 your flat out going to get run over. And I'm talking about cars in front and behind you as far as the eye can see all running 90+ ina 55 at times.

The 4.10 gears and offroad X is probably what singled you out.

well the 2006 GSXR 1000 thats in the garage has no problems with police lol i doubt any car could handle 190 on the highway, and when my bike does 100 in first gear there is no car on the street that can out perform my bike, i had a few cars keep up with me when i had my 600 but never had one car come close to the 1000, and if they did i have my happy horn button lol (i love nitrous)

Here in Central/Northern VA on the interstate, 75-80 is the common speed(65, 60 & 55 posted)at times(not rush hour). I try to keep it somewhere between 5-10 over at best. There are several times I go over that if I need to get away from some jerk truck driver, but that is about it... I've had my share of speeding tickets with one being reckless driving(77 in a 55). I don't cry the blues for anybody that gets caught speeding, not even myself! I don't know what GA's limits are for reckless driving, but here in VA, it's 20 over any posted speed limit or 80+ on the interstate(regardless of the posted limit of 65) and will earn you a mandatory day in court along with 6 demerit points if convicted! Hire a lawyer who specializes in speeding tickets...you'll find them everywhere. May cost up to $600...however, they'll get it reduced to something less than a moving violation...remember, money talks and BS walks. My son had his ticket reduced from a 75MPH - Reckless (in a 55MPH zone) to an inoperative rear tail light...believe me it sounds unfair, but you have to pay to get it reduced (better than a lot of points and the insurance company hiking up your premiums, or worse, dropping you). Get that lawyer now (they definitely have the "ins" with the judges and law officers). Just a fact of life. Also be sure to tell this lawyer that you're willing to attend the one-day 8 hour driver improvement course that will get you 5 free points towards your driving record (at least in Virginia that's the case). Other option...become a police officer. When's the last time you've seen a police officer give a fellow police officer a ticket?
