if you have stock 2.73's or whatever, it takes 2.73 revolutions of the driveshaft for the wheel to spin 1 full revolution; consequently, changing to 3.73's means the driveshaft has to now turn 3.73 times for 1 full wheel rotation. The same speed (wheel revolutions) now requires more driveshaft revolutions=more engine revolutions.I_AM_CANADIAN said:ok, I now I get it, I was thinking the wheel moved faster, not the driveshaft.
