Got it running. Rapid surging and running rich

So, I got my 92 running again. I just replaced the plugs with new Motorcraft plugs and got new Accel wires. Old plugs were sparking down towards the threads for some reason.

Now it's back to what it started doing 4 days ago. It doesn't run like it did in the video I submitted. When I start it, it starts up quick but surges rapidly between 1100 and 1300 RPM. It's very rough and is running very rich. Does anyone know what the problem is? Before I trash my new plugs.

Well, there's the obvious stuff... double check the firing order, and the connections at the O2 sensors, IAB, TPS, etc.

If you've confirmed that all of the above is connected right, and working, I'd move over to the ignition side. Sounds like a bad PIP or ign module, except... you should be throwing a code. If you have any buddys with 5.0s, see if they'll let you swap ECUs(temporarily, lol).

Tested TFI, all good. I don't think it's the PIP because it runs like this even with the spout connector out. I realized I forgot to plug the spout back in. Sorry about all the posting lately. I forgot about JR's surging idle checklist. I'm going through that now. I've got a new fuel filter ready to go in. Could it still be the FF even if the FP holds at around 34PSI? The fuel pump doesn't sound like it's running any slower than normal. I know that on my 96 3.8, when the fuel filter had too much thick fluid in it, the pump was running much slower. Sped it right up when I put a new filter in.

Distributor cap is fine. Alt voltage is steady at 14.3V .Ignition switch is fine. In fact, it's still barely used. I replaced it not too long ago. Would O2's go bad from rich running conditions? Even if they were recently replaced?

And finally, would codes 44 and 94 have any relation to surging idle?

Mostly fixed now. Changed out fuel filter today. Never would have guessed a bad filter would cause such a mess.

Disconnected the battery for 10 minutes then started up and let run on its own for about 5 - 10 minutes. 95% of the surge is gone. Now, it only surges about 50 RPM when it's cold. Has a backfire problem when I start it. Also, still got codes 44 & 94. Idles at 1000 RPM while it's in neutral or Park. Will have to muck with the idle screw a little more. Drove it to the gas station and put in 7 gallons worth. 5 miles each way. Seems like the gauge moved down some when I drove it back. Not running rich, but it's definately not being stingy on the gas. I didn't even get on it hard.
