Well I got it, black GT premium with 5 speed, IUP, Bullit Wheels, Active Alarm, Side Airbags. Basically everything besides the Shaker 1000. I had originally wanted the Shaker 1000, but after hearing the 500 in person it is great. It sounds just as good as the aftermarket system I had in my Mazda 3.

I gotta say, after having owned a 2003 Cobra and 2002 GT, the difference in the overall car is absolutely shocking. This one doesn't feel like a cheap car with a good engine. It feels like a great car, with a great engine

The clutch and shifter both feel so good. Sure the throw on the shifter could be a bit shorter, but it's smooth, precis and overall a HUGE improvement. The clutch is very light, in fact it's no heavier then what I had on my Mazda 3, which is cool because I wasn't a big fan of the clutch on my Cobra as it literally probably took 300lbs of pressure to depress.

Ride is comfortable, the handling really did surprise me, I wasn't expecting it to be as good as my old Cobra but I feel that it is. It really seems to dampen noise well, so I hear the motor and exhaust instead of roadnoise.

The interior is great, very comfortable and has a solid feel to it. I'm really happy with the shifter placement, it's nice to be able to relax, instead of being hunched over so I can reach the shifter like in my 03.

The exhaust and motor sound really good, so good in fact I'm reconsidering getting an aftermarket setup. It sounds mean, and fairly loud when you get on it, but there's no annoying hiney drone on the highway which is a plus.

I really like all the little touches too, like the mycolor, display screen, the fact that the windows actually have one touch up AND Down.

Overall, this is the best car I have owned to this date, and I suspect it is the best mass produced Mustang to date (all around, not just straight line)

I posted quite a few pics on a seperate forum, and I'll just link there because they are big pics and I don't want this text to be totally stretched out for people on lower resolution:

Nice Comb! I also liked your overall description of car and ride; it's how I felt when I test drove the car. After driving my wife's 95 V6 Manual for 3 years it was a shock how great the 05 drove.

Sweet Ride. Congrats.

Gray02GT I agree with everything you said.

Got my Torch Red 5sp GT Dec 28. I have been looking at cars all year, test drove the 350z and the RX8, and I would be driving an RX8 right now if Ford had not redesigned the Mustang. I saw the pictures of the new car this summer and knew I had to wait and test drive one to see if I fell in love with it. first test drive I knew it was the car I wanted , forget the RX8.

I dont know about anyone else but I just cant stop driving this car, cant stop thinking about driving it, cant wait till I get to drive it again. I have only had it like two days, but I already had to fill it up I have been driving it so much. I think I love about near everything about it, anything I dont care for is minor.

And all the attension you get , I thought people were exagerating. Ha, every where I got people want to see it. I sopped by my daughters work, RadioShack, to show it to her. Bout everyone wanted to see it, a guy in the parking lot came over. I catch people turning their heads to look all the time!I stopped at a Discount Auto to get something, I hear some one say, Hey theres an new Mustang in the lot! Ha thats mine I say with a grin!! Everyone comes out to see her, and then I have to start her up to play the music. That beautiful growl gets ooohs and aahs everytime I start her up. I dont really want to listen to my sterio, even though it sounds awsome, its nothing compared to the music 300 galloping hoofs make!!! I see 350Z'z and RX8s all the time but they dont get a second notice, my Pony steals the show every time!

Yeah, it really surprised me. People basically ignored/didn't care about my Cobra, but in the 3 days I've had the car, jeeze, I've had so many people come up. It's cool, but it sucks that it won't last when there are more cars out there, oh well!
